To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information:

AI Technology and Biometric Data

AI-Powered Customization

Parfait uses artificial intelligence technology to provide customized wig recommendations and measurements. When you use our AI measurement tools:

  • We collect facial images and measurements to determine your cap size, match lace color, learn your style preferences, and to improve our technology
  • We analyze your photos using our proprietary algorithms to extract measurements (not facial recognition)
  • We never use biometric data to identify you. We use it to customize your products and to improve the technology that does it
  • We do not sell biometric data. We share it only with service providers who store or process it for us, under terms that forbid any other use
  • You can ask us to delete your photos and measurements at any time by contacting us

Biometric Data Retention

  • Photos and measurements are kept until you ask us to delete them, so we can fulfill and size your orders and improve our fitting and try-on technology
  • You may request deletion of your biometric data at any time
  • We use industry-standard encryption to protect biometric data
  • Biometric data is stored separately from other personal information

Virtual Try-On and Your Photos

Virtual try-on lets you see yourself in a Parfait wig before you choose. To do that, you share a photo of yourself. Here is how we look after it.

  • What we collect: Your photo, every image we make from it while creating your try-on (including the in-between images), and details you share with us, such as your cap size. We do not use your photo to recognize or identify you.
  • How we use it: To create your try-on and show you in our wigs, to keep your looks so you can come back to them, and to develop, test and improve the technology that measures, fits and shows wigs. We may show you your own looks in emails to you. We never use them in ads or show them to anyone other than you.
  • Where it is kept: In Parfait's secure cloud storage. To make a try-on, your photo is processed by service providers who work for us, under terms that do not allow them to use it for their own purposes.
  • How long we keep it: We keep your photo and the images made from it until you ask us to delete them. They are not deleted automatically, except where the law of your state sets a time limit (see Illinois below).
  • Deleting it: Choose "Delete my photo" in the try-on, or email support@myparfait.com. We confirm that we have your request, a member of our team reviews it, and we delete your photo and the images made from it. From the moment you ask, your photo is not used for any new looks. Deleting your photos does not undo improvements already made with them, and our technology does not store or reproduce your photos.
  • Who can use it: Virtual try-on is available to customers 18 and older.

Illinois Residents - BIPA Compliance

If you are an Illinois resident, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) provides you with specific rights regarding biometric information. We:

  • Inform you in writing before collecting biometric identifiers or information
  • Obtain your written consent before collecting biometric data
  • Never sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric data
  • Use the same standard of care to protect biometric data as we use for other confidential information
  • Permanently destroy biometric data within 3 years of your last interaction or when the purpose for collection is satisfied, whichever occurs first

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about you when you interact with our Services. This helps us:

  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Understand how you use our Services
  • Improve your experience
  • Deliver targeted advertising
  • Analyze trends and measure campaign effectiveness

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary for the Services to function properly (e.g., shopping cart, account login)
  • Performance/Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our Services by collecting anonymous usage data (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Functionality Cookies: Remember your preferences and personalize your experience
  • Advertising/Targeting Cookies: Deliver relevant advertisements based on your browsing behavior and interests

Third-Party Tracking Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information through cookies:

  • Google Analytics: Website usage analytics
  • Facebook Pixel: Social media advertising and analytics
  • Google Ads/DoubleClick: Display advertising
  • TikTok Pixel: Social media advertising
  • Shopify Analytics: E-commerce analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity: Records how visitors use our website (clicks, scrolling and page movement, as heatmaps and session replays) so we can find and fix problems. It does not run when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Passwords and similar sensitive fields are masked. Session recordings can include the virtual try-on screens, including your photo and looks, and are kept by Microsoft under its own terms, and we do not allow it to be used for advertising. Microsoft collects this information under its own privacy statement.
  • Our own site measurement: Pages viewed, how far a page is scrolled, time on page and technical errors, kept on our own servers to keep the site working. It does not record what you type.
